After Steve Perry left Journey in 1997, Augeri was chosen by Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon to take over on lead vocals.
The song “Remember Me” that appeared on the soundtrack for the movie Armageddon was the Journey recording debut for Augeri. He went on to release four albums in total with Journey. The 2005 album Generations was his last studio album with Journey.
