Dodge Foundation, traveling the East Coast writing and supporting secondary school drama teachers.

Apart from his work as a playwright, Cummings has served as a theater director for several years at the elementary, middle and high school level. Each year he produces a festival to showcase student-written plays and has even written a playwriting textbook.
