American Aquarium Concert Tickets

Hear unique alternative country music with American Aquarium tickets. American Aquarium was formed in 2006 in Raleigh, N.C., and took its name from the Wilco song "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart." The track featured founder BJ Barham on lead vocals and guitar.

The band was prolific in the next decade, releasing eight albums. And playing more than 3,000 shows according to Barham. The band averaged 200-250 shows a year across the United States and Europe. The band’s 2012 release, Bur. Flicker. Die., was one of the most successful in the run earning a nomination for Best Americana/Roots Album in the 2013 Lone Star Music Awards. It was produced by Jason Isbell.

The band clearly struck a nerve with fans who raised $24,000 through Kickstarter for the band’s next album Wolves (2015). It was recorded at Echo Mountain in Asheville and released independently. The band experienced a big shakeup in 2017 when current members disbanded, but Barham continues to refresh the roster with new talent. In 2020, Lamentations reached No. 16 on the US Top Country Albums list and No. 133 on US Billboard 200. Experience this resilient group with American Aquarium tickets.
