John Smith Field was built in 1953 and was formerly known as Hornet Field. In 2010, the name changed in dedication to the Hornets' longtime coach John Smith, who coached for 32 years up until his retirement. The stadium has a capacity of 1,200 with 150 being chairback seating as well as 1,050 bleacher seats. In 2007, the field went through a major renovation that included a new players' clubhouse. It went through another renovation in 2011 to include batting cages, a new outfield fence and a widescreen scoreboard. Lights were installed in 2016, so they could play much anticipated night games.
