Recruiting fellow Trinity College of Music students Stephanie O'Brien and Kate Mullins in 2004, the trio's debut album Betcha Bottom Dollar (2006) featured covers of songs by The Smiths, Blondie and Kate Bush as well as a host of old-time show tunes, and went on to reach Number 2 on the US Jazz charts. The girls took on The Bangles hit Walk Like An Egyptian and Beyoncé's Crazy In Love on follow-up The Rise And Fall of Ruby Woo (2007) and performed at the Glastonbury Festival before recording a version of Jingle Bells with Michael Bublé for his album Christmas (2011). Their fourth album Hollywood (2012) was a tribute to great cinema soundtracks, but the line-up changed when O'Brien left the band in 2012 to pursue a solo career as a singer-songwriter and was replaced, initially by Yorkshire singer Terrianne Passingham, who was herself replaced by acclaimed young jazz singer Emma Smith.
