Hailing from Jamestown, N.Y., the Rebels play in the North American Hockey League where they are currently a Tier II junior ice hockey team. Their fans gather in support at the Northwest Arena during every home game. The franchise started in 2008 where they were known as the Wenatchee Wild based in Washington where they relocated five years later to Texas and became the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. The Killer Bees never made it out of the gate as they were then traded to Philadelphia and became the Aston Rebels for two short seasons, where they were part of the East Division and played their home games at the IceWorks Skating Complex.

Their tenacity was not enough to overcome the adversities of low attendance and scheduling issues to which again they were relocated to Jamestown. Their first season showed promise as they lost a close game to the New Jersey Titans in the division semifinal.
