Settle into the smooth sounds and groovy beats with Corey Harris tickets. Blues musician Corey Harris was born in Denver, Colorado on February 21, 1969. He is best-known as one of the main purveyors of acoustic blues in the 1990s alongside Keb’ Mo’ and Alvin Youngblood. Discovered by composer/producer Larry Hoffman in 1994, Harris released his solo debut album Between Midnight and Day in 1995. The album was the first of four titles Harris released on Alligator Records.
By 2002, he had signed to Rounder Records and released the album Downhome Sophisticate in 2002. That same year, he collaborated with Ali Farka Toure, which resulted in Harris’ 2003 album Mississippi to Mali, an album that expertly mixed the musical styles of both artists. After one more album with Rounder – Daily Bread (2005) – Harris switched to Telarc for a few albums. Harris has also collaborated with other artists including Billy Bragg and Wilco (on the Mermaid Avenue and Mermaid Avenue II albums) and touring the world.
Harris has continued to release albums including Free Water Way (2018) and Louisa County Blues (2019).
