The Charlottetown Islanders are a major junior ice hockey team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League out of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The Islanders call the Eastlink Centre, which has a capacity of 3,717 for hockey, home ice.

The team was formed in Montreal, Quebec and named the Montreal Rocket, named after Maurice Richard, known as the Rocket of the Montreal Canadiens. The team crest featured Richard’s Canadiens jersey number “9.”  The team relocated to Charlottetown in 2003 but kept the name Rocket until the beginning of the 2013-2014 season, when they adopted the Islanders nickname, with the new logo and color scheme was revealed on May 27 of 2013.
