At the age of 14, he auditioned for a new boy band group, quickly becoming the first member of the Backstreet Boys. Joining him was Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell. The Backstreet Boys became a pop music sensation in the 1990s, nominated for six Grammy Awards and winning multiple Billboard Music Awards.
