Since the Arizona State Women’s Volleyball program began in 1973, they have been champions. In their first season, they had a 21-0 record and won the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) Championship. The Sun Devils repeated the following season. Once the AIAW ceased operations in 1982, the Arizona State Women’s Volleyball team became members of the NCAA Division I Pac-12 Conference, the “Conference of Champions.” The Pac-12 has won more NCAA national championships in team sports than any other conference. Arizona State Women’s Volleyball leads the conference in All-American nods with a total of 81 (as of 2021).

The team’s home stadium is the Desert Financial Arena. It was built in 1974 as the ASU Activity Center, was renamed the Wells Fargo arena in 1997, and  Desert Financial Arena in 2019. The arena is just east of Sun Devil Stadium and also hosts men’s and women’s basketball, women’s gymnastics and men’s wrestling.

Your ASU Women’s Volleyball tickets might bring you to one of their “Green Matches” where the team partners with ASU environmental efforts to have a completely sustainable match. The team has made sure to focus on personal development alongside their athletic and scholarly pursuits. In 2017, they adopted the team moniker “FIGHT,” which stands for Family, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility and Training culture. All these are values held strongly by the program.
