Helzberg Hall is oval in shape and the stage extends approximately one-third of the distance into the Hall. This allows 40% of the seating either alongside or behind the orchestra. Muriel Kauffman Theater is designed to be visually striking, yet retain an intimate experience for both the performers and the audience. It was inspired by the great opera houses of Europe, which allows the audience to be seated vineyard-style in a semi-circle configuration facing the stage.
