His 2009 album, Music Fan First, was critically acclaimed, earning him two Grammy Award nominations for Best Urban/Alternative Performance (one in 2009, one in 2010). His seventh album, Mister Nice Guy, released in 2011, reached Number 98 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and Number 14 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
