This renovation included luxury boxes, a reduction of seating and the removal of the pitchside barrier. It was completed in 2021 with an estimated cost of 40 million Euros. The stadium has a capacity of up to 23,370 spectators. The new design comes from the architectural firm De* Architetti. The surface of the field at Gewiss Stadium is made of FlexGrass Vertex hybrid grass.
