Charlotte Motor Speedway tickets are available for all racing events held at the raceway. The track is located right in the heart of NASCAR country at 5555 Concord Parkway South, Concord, NC 28027. Opening in 1960, it became NASCAR’s home track and is referred to as "America's Home for Racing." It was known as Lowe’s Motor Speedway from 1999 to 2009. A ton of history has occurred at the track including Dale Earnhardt’s first NASCAR Cup Series.
The overall track record at the speedway was set by Tony Stewart in 1999 at an average speed of 220.4978 miles per hour. This was during an IndyCar Series race. The NASCAR track record was set by Kurt Busch at an average speed of 198.771 miles per hour. Over the past 60 years, the speedway has developed into a motorsports complex. It added the zMAX Dragway and the Dirt Track at Charlotte to the grounds. Charlotte Motor Speedway tickets are sold for both NASCAR and NHRA events. Race fans can see NASCAR races take place on the oval and roval configurations and also attend the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and World of Outlaws Late Models series.
The seating capacity sits at 84,000. The main grandstand is broken up into sections named after automotive brands. The grandstand starts in Turn 4 with the Toyota stands. This transitions into the Chrysler stands at the start of the quad oval. The General Motors section oversees the start/finish line. The Ford section is at the exit of the quad oval. The grandstand seating goes into Turn 1. This is referred to as the Grand National section. Veranda and club-level seating is also available near the end of the quad oval. Every seat in the house will give a fantastic view of the action on the track.
The NASCAR Cup Series competes on the track three times during the year. Fans can see the NASCAR All-Star Race, the Coca-Cola 600 and the Bank of America Roval 400. The NASCAR Xfinity Series competes in the Alsco 300 during Memorial Day weekend. It also competes in the Drive for the Cure 250 on the roval configuration. The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series each make one stop on the schedule. Major NHRA events include the 4 Wide Nationals and the Carolina Nationals at the zMAX Dragway.
