It was an achievement he would repeat many times over his career and in 2003 the song he produced “Tal Vez” won the Latin Grammy Song of the Year Award. Two years later Torres’ production work on the album Adentro won Best Latin Pop Album at the Grammy Awards.
In 2007 Torres became the first person from Puerto Rico to receive Billboard’s award for number one Hot Latin Tracks Producer of the year. Torres began a successful solo career, releasing several Billboard top 20 singles between 2000 and 2010.
