The group formed in 2005 and released their first album, Belongs to the Dead, in 2006. The group’s current members include Ben Walsh on vocals and lead guitars, Brianna Collins on synthesizer and backing and lead vocals, Theodore “Teddy” Roberts on drums and backing vocals and Collin Gorman on bass and guitar.
The group’s name is a reference to a song by The Microphones. The group was started by founding members Ben Walsh and Adam Mcllwee, with Brianna Collins joining soon after. The group has cited the bands Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance as their influences.

Three singles were released from that album: “Guardian,” “June,” and “Window.” The group released a standalone single in 2019 entitled “Eyes Shut.” It had initially been recorded for spin but was cut from the final album.
Two singles were released in 2020, including “Warn Me” as part of the Hopeless Records label. “Lemon Mouth” was also released in 2020 and “Hesitation” came out in 2021.
