Ryan Murphy directed a 2020 film adaptation of the musical for Netflix, featuring a star-studded cast including Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman and Andrew Rannells. The adaptation introduced The Prom to a global audience, bringing its themes of inclusivity and acceptance to an even wider stage.
