The two group members met while attending a writing workshop in North Hollywood, CA in 2012. They decided to write two singles inspired by the retro synth themes of the score for the movie Drive. Their singles “WeMoveForward” and “Gloria” came out in 2014 along with their debut EP titled Days of Thunder.

Lyle and McEwan spent the next two years writing new music, and in 2016 their LPs Endless Summer and Nocturnal came out. Nocturnal found popularity on the website Bandcamp and eventually made it to the number 17 spot on the Billboard Dance/Electronic charts. After this spike in popularity, the band began touring around the U.S. and even played a few sold-out shows.

The band released a full-length album titled Monsters in July of 2020, and the album charted in both Australia and the United Kingdom, growing the artists’ international following. They have also participated in two collaborative remix albums that feature mixes of some of their popular songs.
