The band also takes influences from classic rock and roll, Motown, hip-hop, indie, folk, and more. 

Being childhood friends has allowed the band to lead a fun and impactful journey throughout their playing career. Stop Light Observations has toured all over the country, gaining a massive following and releasing albums along the way. Their hope is to expand their impact throughout the South and expand their fan base with their unique storytelling ideas. 

Stop Light Observations takes music to heart, creating and displaying their passion for performing and playing together through meaningful lyrics about everyday life. Their first album was experimental; their second was a live album recorded in Toogoodoo, a rustic old plantation home that has been around Charleston for 200 years. It was a major high note for the band and they don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
