Wariner’s debut single “I’m Already Taken” debuted in 1978 and peaked at a somewhat disappointing number sixty-three on the Billboard country charts.
It wasn’t until 1980 that Steve Wariner tickets began to rise in demand. Wariner’s new single “Your Memory” rose to number seven on the country charts and seemed to point toward future success for the artist. The success of the single caused Chet Atkins to fire Wariner from his band, as Wariner had been performing with the legendary singer at the time. “All Roads Lead to You” off the debut Steve Wariner album scored the artist his first number one hit in 1981. Over the years, Wariner has released eighteen studio albums and over fifty singles and truly found a home in the country music pantheon.
