Bonnie Fraser (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) formed the band in 2012 with her friend Arthur Ng (lead guitar). They enlisted the help of David Potter (bass) and Jordan Jansons (drums) and began performing under the name What It’s Worth. The band released their EP Catalyst in 2013 before changing their name to Stand United the following year. Rising out of Sydney, Australia, Stand Atlantic moved from national tours to international shows with bands like Young Lions and State Champs.
Thanks to a spirited sound that matches any mood, Stand Atlantic tickets have drawn in fans from around the world for their dynamic punk sound reminiscent of the early 2000s punk golden age. Drawing influence from groups like Blink-182, The Story So Far and Silverchair, Stand Atlantic’s layered alternative sound stands on its own. The band released their debut album Skinny Dipping in 2018. Headlined by the single “Lavender Bones”, the album was positively received and premiered on BBC Radio 1. Stand Atlantic would follow up with 2020’s Pink Elephant which featured songs like “Jurassic Park” and “Wavelength.”
