The venue for this event was in the parking lots around the University and Dinkytown. The festival is now held at Coffman Memorial Union. In 2010, the Student Union decided that they wanted to have a three-day festival instead of six. 

The Spring Jam musical festival is solely run by the students from the musical line up to the carnival rides and the different competitions. The students have organized great lineups each year including Waka Flocka Flame, Jay Rock, Ella Vos, and Mason Ramsey. The Spring Jam even features classic artists like Mac Miller, Jessie James, The Beatles, and Mason Jennings. Experience live shows from Parmelee, Lizzo, and Travis Porter.
