The four musicians that formed Sloan were Jay Ferguson, Chris Murphy, Patrick Pentland and Andrew Scott. They are a very unique and versatile musical group, as since they all share songwriting duties when each member’s specific song is performed on stage, they change up what instruments they are playing and assume the lead vocal role. Sloan has recorded multiple studio full-length albums, and in 2018 they released their twelfth LP appropriately titled 12. which included their top single “Spin Our Wheels".  

Sloan is constantly touring throughout the United States and Canada, performing at standard concert venues and festivals including Riverfest Elora, Rock the Hub and Beau’s Oktoberfest. On an interesting note, the origin of the band’s name is a little quirky, as it was named after a friend of Chris Murphy, whose name is Jason Larsen.
