They were known as the Brampton Battalion until 2013 and played their first game in 1998. The North Bay Battalion is an affiliate of the Pembroke Lumber Kings.
The Battalion’s first season was difficult, with the team only averaging a 1:9 win/loss ratio. It would prove to be a short-lived trial, however, as it was one of the only seasons in which the Battalion did not make the playoffs. Over the course of their time at Brampton, the team won four division championships and one conference championship.
They moved to North Bay in 2013, where they quickly exceeded preseason attendance expectations.
