They are most known for their hit singles “Love Changes,” “Don’t Wanna Come Back” and “Baby Love.” Mothers Finest plays a genre-bending style of rock music that incorporates elements from funk, soul and R&B music.

The band came together in Atlanta in the early 70s, releasing their self-titled debut album through RCA Records in 1972. Their innovative style met with immediate success, and each of the albums they would release through the rest of the 70s were certified gold. Before long Mothers Finest began touring alongside high-profile groups like Aerosmith, AC/DC and Black Sabbath.

Despite a brief hiatus following the release of their 1981 album Iron Age, Mothers Finest reformed in 1989 to release Looks Could Kill through Capitol/EMI Records. In the coming years, they would achieve cult status for their pioneering blend of funk, heavy metal and even hip-hop styles. In 2011 the band was entered into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
