His career started early at 14 years old when he started making UK Grime Instrumentals which he sold online. Carling states that his artistic name came from writing random words on a piece of paper until one word stood out for him. As his career progressed, Monxx started moving onto other genres like dubstep, bass, hip-hop, electro and drum.
