For most of their history, the Waves were coached by Keith Tozer, who led the team for over two decades and set the record for wins among all coaches in indoor soccer. During his tenure the Waves won their first league championship in 1997--the team would win five more championships before his departure in 2014. Tozer went on to coach the US national futsal team.
