The band's style is a fusion of cumbia, hip hop and R&B.
The group created songs in English and Spanish, with Quintanilla on bass and Cruz on keyboards. The original lineup included singer/songwriter Frankie J and Jason Cano or DJ Kane, guitarist and Selena's widower Chris Perez and Irvin "Pee Wee" Salinas. Their third album, entitled 4, was released in 2003 and was a bilingual project that fused reggae, pop, vallenatos, R&B and electro-cumbia music. It brought Latin stars such as Aleks Symtek, Juan Gabriel and El Gran Silencio to add texture and extra dimensions to their music.
