In 2006, Joyce toured Asia with the esteemed Lorin Maazel, where she gained critical acclaim. The massive response to Joyce Yang tickets only furthered her career, and, in 2008, she appeared with the New York Philharmonic for the opening night of the 2008 Leonard Bernstein Festival at the invitation of Maazel. In 2011, Joyce debuted her first album, Collage, which featured works by Schumann, Currier, Scarlatti, Liebermann and Debussy.

Joyce Yang has performed with many of the world's best chamber musicians and orchestras throughout the 2000s with over 1,000 performances. In 2016, Joyce collaborated with the revered violinist, Augustin Hadelich, to create the album Works for Violin and Piano by Franck, Kurtág, Previn, Schumann. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for the Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance.
