Jim McDonough Concert Tickets
You will discover how beautifully a piano can sing after you purchase Jim McDonough tickets. Born in Monticello, Iowa, McDonough began piano lessons at age seven. It was love at first note, and he dedicated all his spare time to it. His future musical aspirations were nearly destroyed when his right hand was crushed in a horrific accident during eighth grade. A long surgery left him in a cast with pins holding his hand together. Undaunted, McDonough spent his recovery time perfecting his left hand before embarking on rigorous physical therapy for his right. Countless hours of practice paid off with a return of dexterity. How did he celebrate? He bought a Steinway grand piano during freshman year instead of a car.
After graduating college, McDonough worked as a school band director and then as an air traffic controller. Music called to his creative heart, though, so he became a pianist on a cruise ship. After successfully recording and selling his debut CD, Requests, he moved back to Iowa to produce music. Eighteen albums later, McDonough is a celebrated artist who tours nationwide and joins past iconic pianists as an International Steinway Artist. With Jim McDonough tickets, you can enjoy the best of piano right before your eyes. Whether playing solo or with an orchestra, he always brings down the house.
