Teams compete round-robin style in Group Play with the hope to advance to the Knockout Rounds. The top finisher from each group automatically qualifies and there is one additional wild card from the Eastern Conference and Western Conference. 

Knockout Round games are single-elimination for the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Championship. The overall winner will receive the NBA Cup and all teams that advance to the Knockout Rounds will split the prize pool. Teams that do not qualify for the Knockout Rounds will have two games added to their regular season schedule to account for the difference. All games, minus the championship, count toward a team’s regular season record.
