It would take until Dumas’ 2003 sophomore effort Le Cours Des Jours for the artist to rise to mainstream attention. Le Cours Des Jours featured contributions by Marie-Annick Lepine of Les Cowboys Fringants.

In 2012 Dumas’ album L’heure et L’endroit reached the number eleven spot on the Canadian Albums chart, further cementing his place as one of Canada’s most promising new singer-songwriters. Dumas has also enjoyed a successful career in film and television, earning particular acclaim for the score for Yves P. Pelletier’s Les Aimants. The artist would win both a Felix Award and an IRIS Award for his work on the film. He has additionally contributed vocals to a number of prominent television commercials.
