In 2002, the play was revived for the first time by Signature Theatre Company at Union Square Theatre. This production won actor Edward Norton an Obie Award and was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award. The play was revived again in 2019 at Hudson Theatre, and actor Adam Driver was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play.
