The band Broncho was created in 2010 by guitarist and vocalist Ryan Lindsey, guitar player Ben King, bass player Jonathan Ford and drummer Nathan Price. The band got its start when Lindsey, who had released his own album in 2006, sent his friends some demos to get their feedback.

Soon, the four friends were all involved in the project, all contributing and working on it, in effect creating a band. The four did not realize they had formed a band until Ford booked a gig for them without talking about it first. From Lindsey’s demos and harkening back to the influences of early 1980s punk bands such as the Ramones and the Stooges as well as college grunge, Broncho was formed.

The group slowly began to get recognized as they toured in support of the album, with NPR putting it on their best-of-2011 list. The band then buckled down to work on their second album.

Their 2013 single “It’s On,” was used as the end theme for the television series “Girls.” In 2014, the group released their second album, Just Enough to be Woman. Other albums by the band include Double Vanity and Bad Behavior.
