Brad Sherwood got his television acting chops in a recurring role on L.A. Law. After being encouraged to attend a comedy class in L.A., Sherwood entered the comedy realm and never looked back. He started his television comedy career on the sketch-comedy series The Newz in 1994. Brad Sherwood is known for his sketch and improvisational comedy and is probably best known for his participation in the short-form improvisational comedy series Whose Line Is It Anyway?

The show, known by fans as Whose Line?, started on Britain’s Channel 4. The show featured comedians playing a variety of comedy games and creating improvisational sketches and songs based on audience-suggested subjects.  Sherwood made appearances on the original British version of the show then became a regular on the American remake from 1997-2008. He also appears on the CW reboot that began in 2013.

Brad Sherwood has also performed in comedy clubs and theaters with his own solo improvisational performances and in concert with fellow comedians. The pair teamed up again in 2021 with their show Colin & Brad… Scared Scriptless which closely follows the format of the Whose Line? a television show with improvised sketches and songs based on audience suggestions. Audience members even get in on the action!
