First formed in 1995, Ballyhoo! continues to create new tunes alongside several other rock bands. Known for their work alongside 311 and Bumpin Uglies in the later 2000s, the group released two albums prior to their greater success. “365-Day Weekend” was their first major success in 2000, leading to them going on to begin opening for many other bands.

Opening for 311, Dirty Heads and Tribal Seeds on several different tours, Ballyhoo! made a name for itself in the rock scene with their reggae beats mixed into their already unique punk sounds. Later on the group would work with 311 to release “Cheers!” in 2009, featuring Chad Sexton of 311 on the drums. The group’s fifth album, “Pineapple Grenade!!” would feature Paul Leary of Sublime and Matt Wallace of Maroon 5 fame. The album would go on to rank on the Billboard Top 200 at 189.
