With his father in the military, he’s lived everywhere from Hannover, Germany to Denver, Colorado. This unique style has been described as “diverging from the hard-edge, raunchy style”, instead, “offering comedic routines reminiscent of an earlier era of comedy.” Arnez cites television as an early influence, particularly The Carol Burnett Show. He began as a baseball player then got recruited to the Harlem Globetrotters before injuries ended both of those careers. It wasn’t until the late 1980s when he was making customers laugh as a flight attendant that he considered turning to the stage.

Arnez started out in the comedy world performing at local clubs around the country. It wasn’t until one of his sets was recorded and broadcast on Showtime Comedy Network, that he began to gain a following.
