After six albums, the group broke up in 2006, with Aidan Moffat continuing to release material as a solo artist. Arab Strap reformed a decade later and released "The First Big Weekend of 2016," a revised version of their debut hit, in 2016.
They spent much of that year on tour, then scored a Number 12 hit in Scotland with the 2020 single "The Turning of Our Bones."
