Enjoy a jazz guitar performance with Adam Hawley tickets. Jazz guitarist Adam Hawley was born and reared in Portland, Oregon. He became interested in music at an early age, first taking up piano and then picking up a guitar for the first time at the age of nine. Hawley kept busy as a teenager, playing in his church, performing in a bluegrass ensemble and also formed his own blues band.

He was introduced to jazz when a friend made him a mixtape. One of the tracks on the tape happened to be “Breezin’” by George Benson. The song sparked something in Hawley and he became infatuated with modern jazz.  He moved to Los Angeles, California in 2002 to pursue his love of music and Hawley would go on to eventually receive his doctorate degree in music from the University of Southern California.

Hawley’s debut album, Just the Beginning, was released in 2015. The album featured guest performers such as Eric Darius, Michael Lington and Albright Groove. Three singles off the album would go on to reach #1 on the Smooth Jazz Chart, including “35 St.,” which spent five weeks at the top.
