Facilities in the park include five miles of paths that encompass the reservoir for cycling, running, or in-line skating. In 2002, the water park called Splash Playground opened. Visitors also can rent boats to take out on the lake. The park also contains the Tempe Beach Park Amphitheatre, which can seat 5,000 for concerts, trade shows or other events.
