Tom Webb had first developed a fondness for wine-making when he was still in high school. Once he entered college, he began to learn the actual process up close, learning from his landlord who kept a micro-winery in his basement. Webb then began working at a Lehigh Valley vineyard and winery and formed a symbiotic relationship with the owner, who knew more about running a vineyard.

That year, the two hand-planted 20,000 grapevines, selling the grapes to other wineries. Experiencing success in the fertile soil of the family farm, the two began to experiment and bottled small batches of different varieties of wine for personal use and sharing with friends.
The couple then converted a barn on the property to a winery, with the main floor being fashioned into a tasting room. The resulting venue is a unique and picturesque establishment. Other newer facets of the winery include a second tasting room, a restaurant and a backyard concert series that originally was produced on a small hand-made stage that now is big enough to host national acts.
