Saluki Stadium is a 15,000-seat football arena located in Carbondale, Ill., on the campus of Southern Illinois University, It is the home field for the SIU Salukis. The stadium was built in 2010 to replace aging McAndrew Stadium, which had been home to the football team since 1938.
The stadium was constructed as an element of the Saluki Way Project, which also renovated the SIU Arena and created a new athletic support building, which included office space and locker rooms for the football team. The inaugural game of Saluki Stadium was on September 2, 2010, with SIU hosting Quincy.
