The architect of the stadium was Tommy Quirk of the architectural firm D’Agostino Izzo Quirk Architects, aided by Janet Marie Smith, who had previously designed Circle Park at Camden Yards, and at the time served as Executive Vice President of Planning and Development for the LA Dodgers. The construction of the stadium was part of the revitalizing of Worcester’s Kelley Square and Canal District.
