HTC Center, formerly known as the Student Recreation and Convocation Center, is a multi-purpose arena that is located on the Coastal Carolina University campus on Founders Drive in Conway, S.C. It is the home court to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers both men’s and women’s basketball along with volleyball teams. The Chanticleers compete in the Sun Belt Conference of the NCAA Division I.
HTC Center broke ground in 2010 and was finished two years later on August 1, 2012, to replace the old Kimber Arena. The stadium was designed by the architectural firms Hughes Group Architects, Garvin Design Group and Timbes Architectural Group with a construction cost of $35 million. HTC Center has a capacity of 3,212 spectators, with 662 being chairback seating as well as 40 courtside seats. The stadium also features a president’s suite and the Chanticleer Athletic Foundation additional seating that runs the length of the entire side of the arena. HTC Center is a multi-surface arena.
