The Ron Tonkin Field broke ground on September 21, 2012, and was designed by the SRG Partnership, Inc. The structural engineer on the project was KPFF Consulting Engineers. It was completed on June 13, 2013, with an estimated construction cost of $15.55 million. It has a capacity of 4,500 spectators and the field is made up of matrix turf.
