Originally opened in 1916 as a movie theatre, the venue ran for 60 years until it was closed and neglected until 2006 when it opened as the “Cox Capitol Theatre”. In 2018, Hargray Communications took over and has been hosting a variety of live music shows, movies, public and private events ever since.
