The center is comprised of the main arena and a modern practice facility in the athletic pavilion. The Galen Center hosts various sports teams as the university is part of the Pac-12 Conference. The school was without its own sports arena for more than 100 years, until donations by long-time Trojans fans, Louis and Helene Galen, helped this USC venue come to fruition.
Loud Galen Center crowds cheer on the Trojans during men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball games, especially when playing cross-town rival, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Bruins. The Trojan Dance Force entertains the arena during the basketball season.
Besides USC sports, the Galen Center also hosts local high school and youth sporting events, PowerShares Series circuit-play tennis matches and speakers like Tony Robbins. Once a year, kids gawk and scream with their favorite celebrity at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

The Galen Center capacity is a little over 10,000 and good sight lines are available throughout the arena. Seating in the two concourse areas of the arena changes depending on the event. Basketball seating is divided into tier 1, 2 and 3, as well as student sections.
