Estadio Caliente broke ground in August of 2006 and opened a year later on November 11, 2007. It was designed by architect Hector Troncoso- Parraga and had a construction cost of $30 million. The stadium has a capacity of 33,333 spectators. The surface of the Estadio Caliente’s field is made of artificial turf. Although the stadium was constructed in 2007, it has been an ongoing project that was finished in two phases with the last of the phases finishing in 2022.
