The Connie Claussen Field was opened in March of 2021 and is the first on-campus field for the Maverick’s softball since the team’s beginning in 1969. The construction was done by Tetrad Property Group with Kiewit serving as the lead contractor and funded by private donations. The field is named after Emerita Connie Claussen who started women's athletics when the university was Omaha University in 1969. The softball field has a fixed max capacity of 650 fans but also has berm seating on each baseline for extra guests. The softball field also features a 26-foot by 19-foot video board in the outfield.
