It is downtown, next to the Des Moines River. Since opening in 2005, it has been the premier venue in the state of Iowa. It is connected via skywalk to the Iowa Events Center. This area includes Hy-Vee Hall and the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center. The venue is the home of several minor league sports teams. Some of these teams include the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League, the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League and the Iowa Barnstormers of the Indoor Football League.
